Celebrating Miss Vanessa`s birthday!

Dear Nightingales, We had a surprise party this September 20th because of my birthday. I was so suprised that Ms. Raquelita, the parents and my dear students prepared this lovely surprise for me. Discovering the pink colour!

Dear Nightingales, This week we discovered the pink colour, we went through all the school finding the pink colour, also we figured out that when we mix the red and white colour we get the pink colour. Parts of the plant

This week we learned the parts of the plant. As you know, we did our experiment planting our plants with different seeds. Nowadays, we are taking care of the seeds and looking day by day how they grow until they become a big and strong plant.

Counting numbers from 1 to 6

Dear Nightingales,

This week we started learning the number 6. We remember the numbers from 1 to 6. It is important to practice the pronunciation of the numbers. Also, to practice how we write those numbers using crayons, markers and pencil. It is a good idea to reinforce the writing of the numbers at home. For that reason, I am sharing with you this video about counting numbers from 1 to 6 on a dice.

Story: Six in a Bed in the Smartboard

Dear Nightingales,

This week we listened, read, watched and enjoyed the Oxford Reading Tree Story: Six in a Bed. In this story Dad and Mum were reading a magazine in the bed on Sunday and suddenly Kipper wanted to go into bed to read a book, then came Chip, Biff and Floppy and in the end there were Six in a Bed!

The importance of the traffic light in our lives

This week we learned about the importance of the traffic light in our lives. We did different activities in the classroom, learned important signs and played a lot creating a small town in our class.

The sound "D"

Dear Nightingales,

These two last weeks we have been studying the sound "D" through our story: "Floppy Floppy". We discovered this sound through the words dog, dance , dolphin, etc. I would like you to practice this words at home and don´t forget to blend the words. For example: d-o-g is for dog.
